The Launch of SAGA's New Ship 'Spirit of Discovery'
Charlotte and Racheal were lucky enough to be invited down for the Launch of SAGA’s brand new ship Spirit of Discovery.
Spirit of Discovery is something very special. She feels elegant and spacious and has an air of intimacy that is so often lost in Ocean Cruise Liners. Spirit of Discovery is a boutique styled cruise ship and has an impressive Atrium and the elegant Living Room on the Main Deck. A lovely pool deck with Jacuzzi with lots of different areas for relaxing. The restaurants are stylish and grand, with plenty of choice with access to the specialty restaurants, buffet and main restaurant.
We spent the evenings watching the fabulous entertainment with songs and dance from West Side Story and Mary Poppins.
Spirit of Discovery accommodates 999 passengers and has 505 crew members. Every standard cabin has a balcony with clear view and the average size is 215 square feet whichever grade you choose. There are also 109 cabins designed for single occupancy. The mid-ship suites have an area of 415 square feet with a separate lounge area and walk-in wardrobe and there are eight Aft suites which come with sumptuous bathrooms, whirlpool baths and double width balconies.
Every 2020 cruise is all inclusive and this includes:
Complimentary return chauffeur service up to 250 miles from home
Or there is complimentary car parking near the port, or coach/rail travel (subject to availability).
All fares include optional travel insurance, but the price can be reduced if client’s have their own insurance in place.
Porterage is also included in the price.
From the Sailaway party with complimentary drinks, all meals and snacks are included in every main and speciality restaurant.
There are also a varied selection of wines served by the glass at lunch and dinner. Complimentary afternoon tea is also served each day – highly recommended!!!!
All shore excursions are included with a free shuttle bus service at most ports.
You can also help yourself to unlimited tea, coffee, fruit juices and freshly-baked snacks in selected venues.
All tips are included too as well as complimentary Wi-fi.
